Program Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities in the facility
• Responsible for bi-weekly school checkups for each resident
• Weekly email to resident’s school counselor- check behavior or any issues
• Review complaints made by residents or their authorized representative and decide the action that will be taken to handle the complaint.
• Every Monday between 6-7pm is available to answer questions and discuss complaints from neighbors.
• Responsible for planning special weekend outings in coordination with Facility Manager (Confirmed by the Thursday before weekend)
• Responsible for vehicle & facility maintenance & repairs (Bi-weekly car wash)
• Will monitor staff DMV records and Insurance on a bi-annual basis
• Trains new staff
• Assist on Grocery/ Food Bank Days
• Order Subscriptions or Purchase new reading material (Variety: Ex. Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, Sports Illustrated, Time, National Geographic)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Has a bachelor’s degree (Preferably in a behavioral science)
• Or has at least four years of experience working with adolescents with behavior issues
• At least two years of managerial experiencing in a childcare facility is preferred
• Must be an effective communicator.
• Must be an attentive listener to ensure they understand the needs of the residents and staff
• Critical thinking is crucial, especially in crisis situations
• Pass a fingerprinted criminal history background check
• Pass a physical exam which includes a T.B. test and drug screen.

Special Skills Needed:
Current CPR and First Aid card

Working Hours: Mon – Fri (On Call)
Reports To: Administrator
