Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Has the ability to interact with and serve young woman between the ages of 12 – 17 and Non-Minor Dependents (NMDS) with a variety of diagnosis.
  • Implements Opportunities STRTP’s program to staff and residents.
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the short-term residential therapeutic program.
  • Supervising the direct care staff, ensuring appropriate care and supervision is provided to children in accordance with applicable law, licensing regulations, and the facility’s policies.
  • Supervising children, as needed.
  • Overseeing the planned activities required to be available to children as specified in Section 87079.
  • Ensuring the general upkeep of the facility.
  • Reporting to the Administrator and making recommendations to address identified problems.
  • Any other duties that may be necessary to manage the facility.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A facility manager shall be at least 21 years of age.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or at least four years of experience working with adolescents
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a STRTP or childcare setting
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Residents may be difficult or verbally abusive at times, and Facility Managers must be capable of dealing with these situations and handling crises if they arise.
  • Pass a fingerprinted criminal history background check
  • Pass a physical exam which includes a T.B. test and drug screen

 

Special Skills Needed:

  • Current CPR and First Aid card
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

 

Working Hours: Full Time 7am – 3pm Monday – Friday (On Call)
Reports To: Program Director
